Overview

The Director of Operations & Technology ensures that Women’s Connection has the technical systems, work processes, and administrative infrastructure it needs to operate smoothly, predictably and sustainably. The person in this key position is a strong organizer, communicator and systems thinker who turns organizational priorities into well-managed projects and sustainable procedures.

Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Coordinate recurring business processes, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Manage the implementation of Board-approved strategic projects, with workplans, timelines, responsibilities, KPIs and progress tracking.
  • Maintain the organization’s compliance calendar and ensure that filings are completed on time.
  • Develop and document operational procedures so that essential organizational knowledge is easily transferred.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and strengthen administrative processes.

Technology Management

  • Manage the organization’s relationship with Club Express and other technology providers.
  • Oversee data integrity and the production of automated reports.
  • Control and review user access. Assign administrative permissions.
  • Develop instructional resources.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve the effectiveness, cost-efficiency, security, and usability of organizational technology.
  • Identify recurring chapter needs and recommend systemwide solutions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate vendor support when needed.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on understanding of technology and data management systems, including database structure, websites, email platforms, collaboration tools, payment systems, record clean-up, and access controls.
  • Knowledge and sound judgment regarding confidentiality, data security, financial controls, system access, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to plan projects, establish timelines, coordinate stakeholders, manage budgets, and oversee successful rollouts.
  • Ability to explain technology clearly and patiently to users with varying levels of technical experience.
  • Experience in vendor selection, vendor oversight, and contract negotiations.
  • Skills in creating and documenting procedures, administrative controls and continuity plans.
  • Understanding of best practices regarding cost controls, operational planning, and process improvement.
