Speech Consultants Northwest (SCNW) is an SLP-owned consulting firm based in Camas, WA, dedicated to connecting school districts across Washington State with highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs). With more than 40 years of combined SLP experience, co-founders Sasha Correia and Kay Jellison have built a mission-driven organization focused on improving access to high-quality speech programs for students in underserved areas. SCNW offers a comprehensive suite of services including SLP placement, mentorship, program reviews, and staff training.

POSITION SUMMARY

SCNW is seeking an experienced, highly organized Chief of Staff to serve as the operational backbone of the company.

This is a new role created to take on the day-to-day operations, finance, HR, and systems execution that the co-founders have been carrying personally freeing them from strategic financial and operational oversight to focus fully on growth. The Chief of Staff will manage the Operations Manager, Accounting Clerk, Admin Assistants, and the Sales team. This position will be the single point of accountability for the internal running of SCNW.

This will be a 1099 part-time position (20-30 hours per week), but may possibly transition to full-time over time. The ideal candidate will be available to work Mon-Fri 4-6 hours per day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Management

• Serve as the primary manager for every operational and administrative role: Operations Manager, Bookkeeper, both Admin Assistants, and the Sales Specialist roles
• Conduct structured weekly or biweekly 1:1s with each direct report using a consistent agenda and documented follow-through
• Own hiring, onboarding, and performance management for all direct reports, in partnership with the co-founders on final hire approval
• Identify performance gaps early and coach before escalating to the founders
