Vice President Maritime, Profit & Loss (P&L) - REMOTE

Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an executive leader for the role of Vice President (VP) for the Maritime business area. This position is pivotal to the company’s growth and success and is accountable for the overall performance of the business, including business strategy, profit and loss performance, program execution, customer satisfaction, talent development, and growth across existing, adjacent, and white space markets. The VP reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and manages a more than $100M Business Area as a Profit and Loss center. This role leads all activities required to deliver successful outcomes for current customers while identifying opportunities to expand the company’s presence within established customer relationships and closely related mission areas. In partnership with business development, the VP will establish new customer relationships and execute strategies for white space growth. The ideal candidate will embody both strategic and hands-on leadership, with proven experience in the Maritime community, a passion for guiding high-performing technical teams, and must hold an active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities: P&L Ownership* Own full business area financial performance, including revenue, profit, cash flow, and indirect spending. * Develop and execute annual goal plans aligned to corporate objectives. * Forecast business performance and proactively manage risks and opportunities. * Drive margin improvement and operational efficiency. * Achieve annual financial and operational performance targets.
