Job Summary

Twenty-Six Defense Maritime is seeking a General Counsel to support the Maritime and Warfighter business units and serve as the company’s primary Government Contracts counsel. The successful candidate will handle associated legal issues, such as those arising from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and FAR supplements, solicitations, teaming arrangements, licensing, data rights, contracting and subcontracting terms and conditions, and related disputes. The position’s responsibilities will also encompass strategizing on proposals and other strategic business unit decisions and providing training to business unit personnel on FAR/DFARS topics and other contract-related topics. The position will report to the Twenty-Six Defense Maritime CEO and provide associate level support to Warfighter via a dotted line to the Vice President & General Counsel of Twenty-Six Defense. Responsibilities and Tasks * Integrating and partnering with the business unit leadership team, providing sound legal advice and risk mitigation measures to ensure successful business outcomes. * Reviewing solicitations, strategizing approaches for responding, drafting sections addressing particularly legal topics, such as data rights and licensing, and “red teaming” proposals before submission. * Advising on pursuing or defending bid protests and selecting and managing outside bid protest counsel when needed. * Assisting Contracts personnel with complex or risk-sensitive terms and conditions, such as limiting liability, indemnification and grounds for termination. * Developing and implementing intellectual property protection
